Why me?

So, I'm not exactly sure what to blog about, since I've seen a mix of no blog, a random blog, or a blog about 'consumerism', from other people. So I guess I'll just go on a rant about random stuff (probably Arizona, considering I just got back from there.) -Not like very many people (or anyone at all) is going to read this anyways.

Okayyyyyy. So we got back from Arizona last night, at around midnight, and by that time I was about to rip my hair out and murder a couple people. Why? -That's a very good question.

Here's the deal. So our flight back to Minneapolis was super crowded, meaning all of the seats were occupied =not fun. So I argued with my sister for the window seat, because that's where you get all the great views -duh, and finally got it. So I sit down and I'm texting E, when all of a sudden the little kid behind me (who's like 2 or 3) starts kicking the back of my chair -really hard. And when his parents told him to 'not kick that girl's seat', he breaks out into this huge tantrum and starts crying and flailing his arms and kicking my seat even harder.

His mom said he wouldn't get any treats until he stopped, which only made him scream, because he "wants treat".

I had to put my phone on Flight Mode cause we were getting ready to start moving, and the kid finally stopped crying -for a while. And just when I started to give him the benefit of the doubt, and think that maybe the flight wouldn't be as painful as I was predicting; he started something else. The "why"s.
Here's the jist of how it went:
His mom- "Honey, sit up, we're getting ready to take off."
The kid- "Why?"
"Because we're going back home."
"Why?"
"Because vacation's over."
"Why?"
"Because we already saw grandma and now we have to go home."
"Why?"
"Because mommy has to work."
"Why?"
"So I can make money."
"Why?"
"So I can support you, and so we can go on trips like this to see grandma. You like seeing grandma, right?"
"Why?"
"Don't you love grandma?"
"Why?"
"You like seeing grandma right?"
"Why?"
--Any person would go fucking crazy having to listen to that for a half an hour, because the plane was taking forever to take off. I was so tempted to turn around and say "Why won't you just shut up?!" But then I figured that'd be completely pointless seeing as he would either A) start crying and his mom would snap on me, or B) he'd just stare at me blankly and say "Why?"

For the rest of the flight I had to turn my music way up to try and block out his on and off tantrums, and his mom's reading -which was SUPER loud, like she was reading to the whole frickin plane. When we finally landed his mom said to him "You were such a good boy! You did such a good job!". The whole time he never stopped kicking my chair, and he got like ten treats.
-FML (if you know where that's from)

So yeahhh. I could on and on about all the bad stuff that happened on that trip, but then this blog would be way longer than it needs to be, and then people would get intimidated by all the words and feel too lazy to read this all the way through. Blah. But if there is a (rare) chance you want to know those other things, I could probably make another blog about this. But I doubt it. I've only got 4 followers right now, and I don't think I'll get many more than that.
This pretty much sums up a "typical" day for me.

Right now, my computer mouse is completely messed up, so it keeps clicking things I don't want to click, and unclicking things I want to stay clicked... Whatever.

I have officially completed a blog on here, so I think my work here is done.

Peace.

  1. Oh man. Sarah..I'm sorry lady, I couldn't help but laugh. This blows. I lived in AZ for a couple of years and every now and then I would fly home and I ALWAYS had a similar story...except I never got to sit by the window, I always had to sit on the isle where my knees would ALWAYS be smashed by the service cart and I would ALWAYS sit by the person that wanted to be bff's and talk my ear off. ALWAYS. I totally sympathize. Pretty much sums up a typical Erin day too. How awesome. You're hilarious. Glad you're home.
